MCC & Tarleton State launch MCC-to-Tarleton program

McLennan Community College & Tarleton State University will welcome the first cohort of the newly formed MCC-to-Tarleton dual admission program to the Waco campus this fall.

The program allows first-time MCC students who plan to complete their associate degree at MCC and then transfer to Tarleton to be simultaneously accepted for admission to both institutions. As part of the agreement, Tarleton will lock in the tuition rate when the students opt in, as well as offer specialized programing, student resources and access to events such as athletics.

Tarleton offers more than 30 undergraduate, graduate and certificate opportunities in Waco through its partnership with MCC’s University Center with plans to expand with more opportunities this fall. Tarleton enrolled around 30 students when the partnership began almost 25 years ago. Today, almost 800 students are enrolled with more than 4,500 graduates in the 25-year history of the partnership.
